Page is removably inlaid to the front pastedown of Volume I of a two-volume set of The Works of James A. Garfield, Edited by B. A. Hinsdale, Volumes are rebound in beautiful black leather with marble boards and slipcase. Volume I is inscribed by Garfield’s son in Volume I, “To Mr. W. H. Lawrence, with my best regards, James R. Garfield, January 1935.” Signature shows scattered soiling, otherwise fine condition.
