<B>James A. Garfield Letter Signed,</B></I> "<I>J A Garfield</B></I>", one page, 4.75" x 8", Mentor, Ohio, June 29, 1880, to James Sheldon, Buffalo, New York. It reads, "<I>Yours of June 8" came duly to hand. No time to answer sooner. Even now can only thank you.</B></I>" Three old pieces of tape on margins, small collector's notation in pencil. Very good condition.
