Rarely offered limited edition giclee on archival paper titled Darius by contemporary mystical expressionist artist Jamali. The composition centers on a stylized male portrait presented in profile, capturing a moment of introspection or quiet sorrow. The figure's head, rendered in rich cobalt and midnight blues, emerges from a swirling backdrop of earthy reds, deep violets, and flashes of yellow, suggestive of both an internal and cosmic landscape. Subtle textures across the image recall the look of cracked plaster or ancient fresco, giving the surface a tactile, timeworn depth. Jamali is an American painter of Pakistani origin whose visionary style, termed mystical expressionism, combines spiritual exploration with avant-garde technique. He incorporates unconventional materials such as mud, copper, and pigment dispersion into his originals, which are often translated into giclee or tempera prints. Jamali's work seeks to transcend boundaries between Eastern mysticism and Western modernism, drawing upon Sufi philosophy, abstraction, and emotional archetypes. His work has been exhibited globally and resides in both private and institutional collections. This limited edition artwork is hand-numbered 3/195 and dated March 18, 2002. The artist's signature appears in the lower left. The artwork is housed in a broad, gold-toned wood frame that enhances the dramatic color palette and includes its original Certificate of Authenticity on verso, issued by Art and Peace, Inc., under Jamali exclusively for Mardan Publishing Inc.
