<B>Marcus Garvey Portrait Pinbacks.</B></I> Jamaican Marcus Garvey was the voice of radical black nationalism during the early years of the 20th century. His insistence on a Negro homeland led to the 1921 establishment of an "Empire of Africa" with himself installed as "Provisional President of Africa". These two rare pins are 1 1/4" buttons commemorating Garvey's announcement.
