This Poor Cub Discovered Just That As He Took A Lazy Moment To Take A Drink In What He Thought Was A Desd Field Near A Pond. A Quick But Stealth Jaguar Creeps Up Behind Him And Digs His Massive Paw Into Its Back. The Cub'S Head Raises And He Releases A Painful Howl. The Jaguar Eclipses The Cub In Size. This Carefully Detailed Brown Patina Sculpture Was Cast Using The "Lost Wax Method" And Mounted On A Black Marble Base. It Is By The Artist Barye. Antoine Louis Barye Was Born In France September 24Th, 1796 And He Died 1875. Most Of His Work Was Focused Exclusively On Animals, Most Of Them Wild. He Was Considered And Animalier, A Sculptor Whose Works Are Mostly Animals. Barye Is A Very Accomplished Sculptor And Artist, He Has Exhibited Some Of His Works In The Salon And Some Of His Works Reside In The Louvre.
