Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy (1929-1994) inspired national attention to culture through her interest in the arts. She made the White House an historical museum. She demonstrated great courage after President Kennedy's assassination. After the death of her second husband, the wealthy Greek shipping magnate, Aristotle Onassis, she became a book editor for Doubleday. Typed letter signed, one page, 8 1/2" x 11", March 1992, New York. Honoring the words of her late husband's book, <I>Profiles in Courage,</B></I> Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wrote Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan on Doubleday Books stationery. The letter reads, "Dear Senator: I would like you to have a copy of THE COST OF COURAGE, by Congressman Carl Elliott, which is being published in February 1992 by Doubleday.
