Swedish chemist (1779–1848) who worked out the modern technique of chemical formula notation, and is considered a father of modern chemistry. ALS in Swedish, signed “Berzelius,” one page, 4.25 x 6.5, no date. Short untranslated letter to an unidentified recipient, mentioning two professors. Reverse of second integral page bears an address panel in Berzelius’s hand. A couple corner creases, some scattered light toning, and some paper loss to second integral page, otherwise fine condition.
