Jaclyn Smith
Jaclyn Smith has graciously agreed to donate a 10-minute phone conversation to be auctioned off for Rising Star Outreach, a 501(c) 3 charity that provides services to people afflicted with leprosy in India and their children. Rising Star provides medical care to 34 leprosy colonies in Tamil Nadu, India, and has a school for 150 children whose parents have leprosy. Without this education, these children will be relegated to begging for money on the street to survive. Rising Star also administers a micro-loan program that has helped more than 1,000 individuals and families start their own small businesses so they can break the cycle of poverty and stop begging.
Jacyln Smith is a Houston, Texas, native who loves baseball, gardening, “Gone With The Wind,” Tchaikovsky, her family and her dogs. After high school, Jaclyn wanted to be a famous ballerina, but a New York agent convinced her that her beauty was made for TV cameras. In 1973, Jaclyn became the Breck Girl and known to millions. She also
worked for Max Factor and other make-up companies before acting in several series on TV. Then in 1976, Jaclyn became famous the world over as Kelly on “Charlie’s Angels.” Jaclyn co-starred in 113 episodes until the show ended in 1981. She is the only Angel to stay with the show for the entire run.
In 1981, Jaclyn starred as the lead in the film, “Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy,” and her acting career has continued today where she has hosted two seasons of “Shear Genius” on Bravo.
Today, Jaclyn is still an icon of beauty, talent and grace.
