He became a fugitive after the Civil War when amnesty was refused to him. An extensive manhunt followed that only ended with his death in Pulaski County, Arkansas in 1867. The note is brightly colored <B>PMG Very Fine 30</B></I> with the bold signatures of A.J. Gillespie and M.D. Haynes. The comments on the back of the PMG holder state that there was evidence of a previous mounting. About a year ago, we offered an AU graded piece that realized well over $1,000.
