<B>Jackie Cooper Inscribed:<I> Please Don't Shoot My Dog,</B></I> The Autobiography of Jackie Cooper.</B></I> (New York: William Morrow and Company, 1981), first edition, 351 pages, illustrated, inscribed by the author on the ffep, orange boards with brown cloth shelf back, 8vo (6.5 x 9.5), fine in a fine unclipped jacket. Includes a one-page, 8.5 x 11, hand-written personal letter by Cooper, dated October 21, 1980 to the former owner of the book, signed <I>Jackie</B></I>. Also included is a one-page typed advertising release, 8.5 x 11, dated November 10, 1941, presumable signed in ink by director Norman Taurog and a young Jackie Cooper. Cooper was Taurog's nephew and the inspiration for the title of his autobiography.
