<B>Jack Swigert Autograph Letter Signed</B></I> "<I>Jack,</B></I>" two pages, 8" x 10.5", front & verso. Washington, November 14, 1974 . To Joe Garino, with original postmarked envelope, about obtaining golf clubs. On Congressional stationery listing Swigert as Executive Director, House Committee on Science and Astronautics. Swigert was Command Module pilot on Apollo 13. The mission was aborted due to an explosion aboard the command module. It was Swigert who, after he saw a warning light accompanying the explosion, said, "Houston, we've had a problem here." Swigert was elected to Congress in 1982 but died a week before he was to be sworn in. <I>From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino.
