It has given me a whole new look at NASA…</B></I>" Swigert was Command Module pilot on Apollo 13 (1970). The mission was aborted due to an explosion aboard the command module. It was Swigert who, after he saw a warning light accompanying the explosion, said, "Houston, we've had a problem here." Jack Swigert was elected to Congress in 1982 but died a week before he was to be sworn in. <I>From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino.
