Signed book: Shane. Later printing. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1954. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6 x 8.5, 214 pages. Signed and inscribed on the title page, “To Ann Woodford—with all best wishes—Jack Schaefer.” A mild shade of toning to signed page, and scattered wear and creasing to dustjacket, as well as a few small edge tears, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by a two page ALS from 1968 from the woman who acquired the signature for a friend, by calling up Schaefer’s home and being invited out for a visit.
