Jack Nicholson (1937-) is the most nominated male actor in Academy Awards history, with three wins matching his three Oscars. He is noted for his ability to play characters ranging from dark and twisted to kooky and comical, often with a neurotic or macabre twist.
One of his most significant roles was in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980): where he played Jack Torrance, caretaker of the haunted Overlook Hotel. Jack is slowly driven mad in the psychological horror, based on Stephen King's novel of the same name.
This large 16" x 20" colour photograph of Nicholson, in his role as Jack Torrance from The Shining, is autographed vertically by the actor in blue ink. The photograph is from the famous scene where Nicholson chops through a door with an axe and shouts "Here's Johnny".
