Popular American novelist (1876–1916), best known for such adventure classics as The Call of the Wild, The Sea-Wolf, and White Fang, who drew his writings from his experiences as a prospector, hobo, pirate, gentleman farmer, reformer, and war correspondent. ALS, one page, 4.75 x 6, September 30, 1912. London writes Utah violinist Willard Weihe. In full: “Just a reminder to you that I have not forgotten that evening in the Tabernacle. Sincerely yours, Jack London. Glen Ellen, Calif.” The page is pasted to the first free end page of a first edition copy of White Fang. London’s bookplate has been mounted upside down on the inside front board. In very good condition, with moderate toning and soiling and moderate wear to the book. White Fang is one of London’s most beloved novels.
