Never before offered for sale at public auction, this is a fabulous example of a cover by the foremost art team of the Golden Age. The logos and the panel illustrations along the left edge have been recreated on an acetate overlay, allowing the original art beneath to shine through. There has been some moderate use of white out on the faces of the main figures, and there is some glue staining along the top and left edge, where the original title stats were adhered, along with the typical editorial markings in the margins. All that being said, this is an outstanding piece of art by two masters of the medium that will make some lucky collector very happy. Golden Age Simon and Kirby art rarely comes to market. What art exists is jealously held in private collections for years before being turned loose. This is an opportunity not to be missed. <B>Estimate: $10,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
