Kennedy Space Center Chief of Public Information during projects Mercury, Gemini and Apollo (1931–2015) who provided public announcements and commentary for several of the mission launches, including the announcement of the Apollo 11 launch, which earned him the nickname ‘Voice of Apollo.’ Uncommon set of five original laminated Kennedy Space Center badges, each approximately 2.5 x 3.75, including: a pass for the "Visit of Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson" on November 23, 1968, stamped on the reverse "684"; a NASA–DOD joint "Presidential Tour Press Pool" pass dated November 16, 1963; a NASA–DOD "Presidential Tour" pass dated September 27, 1966; a press pass dated December 9, 1967, with green strip above; and a NASA–Air Force Eastern Test Range pass issued to Jack King, dated December 9, 1967. In overall fine condition. Originating from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, a portion of the proceeds for the sale of this item will be donated to the ASF.
