Tremendous color 22 x 11.5 lithographic print of James Montgomery Flagg's iconic painting of the 1919 world heavyweight boxing championship bout between Jack Dempsey and Jess Willard, signed and inscribed along the top border in fountain pen, "To my old pal Larry, Best of luck always, Jack Dempsey, P. S. Will see you soon to go hunting with Max." Upper right corner bears a promotional stamp indicating that the "Original James Montgomery Flagg can be seen at Jack Dempsey's restaurant." In very good to fine condition, with one vertical fold, some light staining, and scattered light creasing. Consignor notes that the recipient was Robert 'Larry' Cameron, a Canadian rodeo star and close friend of heavyweight champion Max Baer.
