CALIBER ADAPTER. Cal. 16 Ga., 2 3/4" / 8x57 JR / 22 LR. S# 82071. The 23 5/8" bbl. set is fitted with full length matted rib with popup U-notch rear and red bead front sights. Caliber is marked in milled out portion of rib toward rear. Sidemount type dovetailed scope base is soldered to top of right bbl. Right bbl. is fitted with 22 LR sub caliber adapter. Steel information is marked on top of left. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped with October 1953 East German Nitro proofs for 16 Ga., 2 3/4" and 8x57 JRS cartridges. Case hardened scallop backed blitz action has rifle/shotgun selector on top tang and Greener side safety. Gun also features pin cocking indicators, crossbolt third fastener, sideclips and double triggers (front set). Trigger guard is steel. Action is engraved with sprays of scroll within wiggle borders. Trigger plate is stamped with "original Sauer" caveman logo. Lightly marbled dark European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 3/8" over brown sporting clays type pad. Stock features shadowline right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering and sling loop. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. Drilling is fitted with B Nickel 6x rail scope with 3 post reticle in side type mount. MEASUREMENTS: SHOTGUN BBL: Bore Diameter: R .664", L.664". Restriction: R .024" (MOD), L .024" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .039, L .036". STOCK: DAH: 3". DAC: 1 7/16". LOP: 14 3/8". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT WITHOUT SCOPE: 7 lb. 13 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: comes with black plastic case. CONDITION: very good to fine, bbls. retaining most of what appears to be their original blue, but is most likely a reblue at time of installation of scope base. Action retains traces of case hardening color where protected, is mostly gray to brown. Stocks with old oil refinish, sanding marks evident. Checkering considerably worn. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Scope shows many light scuffs in exterior lacquer, along with a few chips. Rear rail has 4 extra holes. Optically clear. (22-4875/MGM). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
