JOSEPH E. SESSFORD, Ticket-seller at Ford’s Theatre the night of Lincoln’s assassination.
Archive of Seven (7) Autograph Letters, each variously Signed, sent to E. Rosenburger (A.E. Fostell) from Washington, D.C. between May 1894 and September 1895. These Letters primarily have to do with items and memorabilia that Joseph Sessford may have owned that pertained to Ford’s Theatre, and the Assassination of President Lincoln. One letter reveals that Sessford never owned a rare, highly valuable, original (marquee poster) bill for the Assassination night, and “you cannon get one ... for less than one hundred dollars.” A rare and unique archive of letters related to Lincoln’s assassination.
