Confederate general and Lee’s classmate at West Point; highest ranking US officer to enter the Confederacy. He was one of the heroes at First Bull Run and was the first to utilize trains for the transport of troops. Johnston was considered a defensive genius and is best remembered for his stubborn defense of Atlanta and his resistance to Sherman’s ‘March to the Sea.’ Boldly penned signature, “<i>J. E. 1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any
reason.
6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.

sales tax of 6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA a
