He lived in simplicity - a life with the clarity and richness of a profoundly intelligent dreamer. This is an example of the beautiful austerity and surrealistic tinge of Sudek's still life compositions. It was lit naturally, bringing out every nuance of design and texture of the modest objects depicted.
