He spent a considerable amount of time between then and 1938 in Houston, Texas, where financier Jesse H. Jones became his patron.<BR><BR>This exceptional Texas bluebonnet painting dates from the time that Orth was a resident of Houston.<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Relined; clouds have been overpainted, only scattered inpainting to landscape. Paint is well consolidated, but some cupping still evident in sky.
