Important JFK original press release, dated 26 September 1961 on the establishment of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. Press release gives remarks made by Kennedy during the signing ceremonies for the bill to create the Agency at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City. In part: “Our ultimate goal…is a world free from war and free from the dangers and burdens of armaments in which the use of force is subordinated to the rule of law…” Single page document measures 8.5”x 14”. Excellent condition.
