Dated 14 August 1961, the order delegates responsibility for civil defense food stockpiles to the Secretary of Agriculture, and for civil defense medical stockpiles to the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare amid the looming threat of nuclear war in JFK's first year of presidency. Two page document on one sheet measures 8.5'' x 14''. Near fine condition with light toning and paper clip mark on top of second page.
