Original copy of speech owned by Senator John F. Kennedy, delivered by him on 25 June 1954 at the Democratic State Convention in Hartford, Connecticut. Seven-page speech reads in part, “…the great expectations the American people have not been fulfilled…The problems of twilight wars…cannot be dissipated overnight—but require...honest leadership.'' Speech measures 8.5” x 11”. Staple at top left, and light toning, else near fine. From the Robert L. White JFK collection, obtained from JFK's Senate files.
