JFK Assassination lot consisting of an example Italian Carcano bolt action rifle like the type used by Lee Harvey Oswald, 6.5mm cal., 21-1/2” barrel, blue finish, wood stock, leather sling, #R5111, mounted with an Ordnance Optics 4X18 scope, in overall very good condition with majority of blue finish remaining, scattered areas of erosion, very good bore, action, markings and wood; crisp optics. Also included in this lot is a Zepruder-style Bell & Howell Zoomatic Model 414 PD camera, 2 boxes of ammunition for the Carcano as used by Oswald, a group of still photos of the scene of the shooting and photos of the actual rifle; a November, 1983 Life Magazine with article on President Kennedy and the Assassination; a second camera (“Imperial Reflex”); a USAF black leather holster; an “American Rifleman” magazine from February, 1963 with the ad from which Lee Harvey Oswald ordered the Carcano and a copy of the book, “The Gun, A Biography of the Gun That Killed Kennedy” by Henry Bloomgarden. A grouping of representative items from one of the most controversial events of the 20th century in American history and one that to many, has still yet to be fully explained. Est.: $
