Original John F. Kennedy administration press release dated 9 September 1961. From Hyannis Port, where Kennedy and English Prime Minister Harold Macmillan were visiting, the two leaders issued a joint statement reading, ''…note with deepest regret that the Soviet Union has not accepted…that tests in the earth's atmosphere producing fall-out be stopped…The action contrasts vividly with the Soviet Union's own…expressions of concern as to the health hazards of such testing…'' 8.5'' x 11'' document in fine condition save for minor creasing.
