<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>(b. 1930). Pioneer American pop artist often integrating three-dimensional objects into his paintings. His innovative art-as-object concept greatly influenced contemporary art. Offered is a 1971 Metropolitan Museum of Art publication produced in conjunction with Technics and Creativity: Gemini G.E.L. exhibition. White molded presentation shell contains a catalogue, 8¼"x10¼", with 364 illustrations, 20 in color, of leading contemporary artists including Johns, plus Josef Albers, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Liichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, and others. Also included is an 8¼"x10½" multiple by John entitled <i>Target 1970</i>, specially commissioned for this publication. This 3-D two-color offset lithograph features three watercolor pads with paintbrush beneath. The concept is for one to create one’s own version of Johns’ <i>Target</i> in a collaborative artistic effort, signing beside his signature in space provided beneath image. Very few have survived in this “uncollaborated” condition. Unusual autograph in this form. Excellent condition.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
