<b>270. [JAPANESE WAR CRIMINALS]</b>
<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>Vintage collection of five wire service photographs, with typed copy, of Japanese military leaders convicted of war crimes at the end of World War II. Unsigned. Included are two International News photos “<i>sneaked out of Manila newspaper before Japs could destroy them.</i>..” One pictures “<i>President Laurel, the Filipine ‘Quisling,’ shaking hands with General Waji</i>”; and “<i>Tojo, listing to the port side because of the weight of 6 rows of campaign ribbons</i>,” saluting an honor guard as he and other Japanese military leaders arrive at Manila on May 5, 1945. Photo evidences scattered abrasions. Both have been trimmed for newspaper layout. Also an image of blood-spattered Tojo slumped in a chair immediately after he attempted suicide as Allied officers look on. Japanese defendants are pictured aboard a bus with MPs in transit during the War Crimes trials; and seated during the trial with military guards. Accompanying wire service copy identifies each one and the sentence meted out to him by the court. Photo displays binder holes at top edge; paper clip impression; scattered light scoring and wear. All have mounting glue on verso. All are in good condition with noted exceptions.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
