<td width="100%">
Wonderful and early 19th century incised foliate rim Japanese Nabeshima oval dish. Interesting overglaze cavetto with raised detailed enamels with shishi (foo), accented by just a hint of gilt. Dish is heavy and well balanced, in the manner of Armorial plates, for export.
Foliate rim has lovely soft blue waves. Foot rim has high comb pattern and exterior cobalt floral scrolling. A lovely plate which displays beautifully.
Dimensions: 6 3/4"(17cm) Length
5 1/2"(14cm) Width
1 3/4"(4.50cm) Depth
Condition: Condition very fine. A few under rim frits on inner side of foot, appropriate to age, otherwise excellent, no hairlines or top chips.
