The 3.75" high bone handle on this fine cane has a monkey with nuts etched into the handle. There is also a coupleof nuts and a sun(?) etched into the bone plug at the top of the handle. The cane has a steel collar and bamboo shaftthat has been stamped with nuts down the entire length of the shaft. There appears to be a maker's mark below thecluster of nuts at the monkey's feet. Some bone is missing from the top plug of the handle, there are a few shrinkagecracks in the bamboo and old adhesive from a label on the handle, and the nickel and steel ferrule is worn. Overalllength is just over 34".(EST 200-300)
