Henry Colburn and Riichard Bentley, 1832FIRST EDITION, pages (4), 324 : (4), 344, (4, adverts) : (4), 346, (2, adverts), with the half-titles, 3 vols, 8vo, original cloth-backed plain paper boards, uncut, with printed paper spine labels : the labels very slightly chipped at their edges and the inside joints cracked or tender, but otherwise a very good to nice copy in original state.James was the author of over 67 novels. His early career was supported by Sir Walter Scott and Washington Irving. James was "... the most prolific and in some ways the most successful novelist of his time."
