Technique : Original Etching with full margins on Velin d'Arches paper.

Paper Size: 66 X 51 cm / 26 X 20 inch .

Plate Size : 49.5 X 39.5 cm / 19.5 X 15.5 inch.

Additional Information : This High quality early work by Jacques Villon is Hand Signed by the artist in pencil "Jacques Villon" at the lower right margin.
It is also Hand Numbered "33/50" in the lower left margin.
Furthermore the work is Signed and Dated in the plate in the left middle Jacques Villon 07 (1907).
This Etching was printed in 1907 in a limited edition of 50 impressions.
This work was printed in a small limited edition of 50 Hand Signed and Numbered Impressions.
The paper bears the watermark of "Arches" France paper.

Provenance: This is a very early work by Villon dated from 1907. It belonged to The Collection of Olga Carre-Burel formally known as the Collection of Louis Carre. This was one of the most important collections of Villon's work in the world if not the most important one. Olga Carre (born Burel) was the wife of the important Paris Gallery owner and Collector Louis Carre. He passed away in 1977 and so his wife, Olga Carre, inherited his collection. Louis Carre was the main dealer of Jacques Villon and exhibited his works regularly in his Gallery in Paris and New York. Most of their collection was bought directly from the artists.
