(JACK RUBY`S TUXEDO)
808. JACK RUBY'S TUXEDO (JACK RUBY) (1911 - 1967) Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. A most unique and unusual relic, Jack Ruby's black wool tuxedo, worn by the club owner during the 1963's while acting as master of ceremonies at many performances at his well-known nightclubs, The Carousel Club and the Silver Spur. This handsome single-breasted suit has classic tuxedo styling, with satin lapels, piping on the trousers, and cummerbund, and comes with a freshly-dry-cleaned, white ruffled shirt. The suit is in remarkably fine condition, bearing almost no wear whatsoever. The shirt is a bit yellowed from age, as it to be expected. Sold with a typed letter of provenance signed by EARL RUBY, Ruby's brother, stating that the tuxedo belonged to his brother and was worn throughout the decade of the 1960s, including 1963, the memorable year that Kennedy was assassinated and Ruby shot Oswald in response. A fine relic, very worthy of display!$300-500
