You are bidding on an antique wooden, dove-tail joined display crate with paper labels advertising J.S. Ivins' Son Steam Bakery. One label is on the top of the box, on the lid, while a second smaller label is on the back panel of the box. The Label on top reads, "J.S.Ivin's Son Steam Bakery/ Philadelphia, PA,,U.S.A./ Ivins' Biscuits/ High Grade Specialties". The box also sports two fleur de lis hinges that were likely added later, when the lid was flipped upside down to display the paper label with the box closed. As this was originally a display crate, the paper label was on the inside of the lid so that it would display along with the baked goods inside. The box also has some stenciling on one side that had likely said what the contents of the box was. This box is in very good, solid condition for its age. The top paper label displays wonderfully; the paper label on the back does also, but to a somewhat lesser extent. The box measures 22" x 14" x 7.5".
