This is an original early pocket watch made by J.M. Skarratt & Co in Birmingham, England. The piece is hallmarked inside the case denoting the origins and that it is solid Sterling Silver. The piece is date marked andwas made in 1809. The inside is hand engraved, "Richard Prime South Down Millbrook." Richard Prime can be found in a Southdown Millbrook Census in 1806. The piece has an English Fusee movement and is a keywind pocket watch in great condition with no cracks in the dial. The piece has hand etched accents across the back and is a rare collectible.
