For your consideration is an original, signed drawing of a 19th century western couple by J.M. Leahy. This piece is beautifully drawn showing detail of the couple standing on the plains gazing to their left. The man on the right is carrying a revolver pistol in a leather holster and ammo pouch, wearing a large full brim hat and bandana around his neck. The woman is standing to his right with long flowing hair, a leather dress, cowboy boots, and is holding a lever action rifle in her right hand relaxed at her hip. There is a mountain landscape in the background. This piece is signed in the lower left corner "J.M. Leahy" and is framed in a dark wooden frame. The back is labeled with a Butterfield & Butterfield auction tag, and a label that reads "What was longhorn hiding? She's Mine page 252." This piece is in good, well preserved condition overall. The visible art measures 7.5" x 10" and the frame measures 15" x 19.75"
