J.M. Cooper Navy Model Double Action Revolver
Made between 1864 and 1869. Brass pin front and hammer notch rear sights, with the three line address and patent markings on the top barrel flat. Rebated cylinder with 5 stop notches, checkered hammer and smooth trigger, with silver finished grip straps and smooth walnut grips. Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, cylinder and butt.

Condition: Very fine, with over half of the bright original high polish blue finish remaining, strongest on the cylinder, with a mixed brown patina and scattered scratches and spotting. The frame shows a third of the bright case colors, strongest in the protected areas, with a dark gray patina and minimal pitting. Original, aged silver is visible around the trigger guard, with a mustard patina on the brass. Grips are also very fine, with pressure dents and mild varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
