J. Baerten Signed Master Engraved Browning Olympian Grade Bolt Action Rifle with Case
Manufactured in 1966 in Belgium, this rifle features a blue barrel manufactured without sights and French grey finish on the remaining parts. The top of the receiver has been factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The follower and bolt are polished with a jeweled extractor, and the trigger is gold washed. The front receiver ring is engraved with a moose on left side and a bugling elk on the right side, and the remainder of the action is scroll leaf and punch dot engraved. The right side of the receiver is signed "J BAERTEN". The hinged floor plate engraved with a standing bear in a mountain scene with floral scroll engraving below and on the attaching metal and signed "J BAERTEN" below the bear. The trigger guard is engraved with a mountain lions head with a floral scroll pattern above and below the lion. There is a two inch wedge of floral scroll engraving on each side of the breech end of the barrel. The screw heads and stock bolts are also engraved. The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and floral and punch dot hand carving on the forearm and grip area, contrasting forend and grip cap with a diamond shaped brass inset on the grip cap, raised comb, cheekpiece, rubber vented Browning recoil pad and sling swivel studs. Complete with a browning hard case.
