The piece is hand crafted by J.B. Williams Maker out of Deming NM circa 1918-1920. J.B. Williams worked in the J.W. Tennyson saddle shop circa 1890 before eventually purchasing it. He worked for R.J. Andrews, Jim Coleman in the Dunn Saddlery at San Angelo, E. T. Amonett of Roswell, NM and R. T. Frazier in Pueblo. He started the Williams Saddle Maker circa 1918 making the highest grade saddles for “cowmen and riders”. The saddle has a deeply hand tooled floral design with a nickel horn. Piece shows the makers mark. Has a 14” seat.
