<B>Leader of the Platoon That Raised the Flag on Mount Suribachi, H. G. Schrier Signature</B></I> "<I>H. G. Schrier/ Captain, US Marine Corps</B></I>." 5.5" x 2.5", mounted on stiff card stock to an over size of 8" x 11", with a print of Schrier's platoon posed around the flag, a brief biographical sketch and a postage stamp depicting the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. Schrier, then a lieutenant, led his forty man platoon to the top of Mount Suribachi to raise the flag on Iwo Jima.
