Ithaca 10ga side by side shotgun, grade II (Lewis model) on 8ga frame, 32” barrels, blue and case hardened finish, standard checkered wood stocks, double triggers, standard extractors, serial number “117077”, made about 1905. The barrels are marked “Fluid Steel”, beneath the forend and also “Krupp”. The frame is marked “2” on water table, with “10” beneath it. The gun remains in very good condition with approx. 85-95% original blue on barrels, thinning on the edges and breech and just normal toning. The frame show 65-75% original case hardening drifting to grey with some visible rainbow colors still showing on both sides of the action. The frame is lightly engraved with game scenes, the trigger guard shows 40-60% thinning original blue. The stocks are good to very good, with fairly sharp checkering, just some normal wear and use, some slight crazing to the finish, a couple of minor marks, and one slight hairline crack on the right side of the stock near the action. The stock measures 13-3/4” to the end of the wood, 14-1/2” to the end of an old deteriorating recoil pad that needs to be replaced. The action is tight, the bores are near excellent, and the thickness of the barrels is incredible. Est.: $800-$1,600
