<Our item number 136818><B>Italian Miniature Cannon.</B> 14 in. long. Appears to be solid silver. Made by &#34;Sigismondo Corte, Genova, Fornitore alla Real Casa&#34; &#40;Supplier to the Royal House&#41;. &#34;Armi Fine&#34; is to each side of a coat of arms. The barrel has &#34;Salve!!! Salve!!! Salve!!!&#34; along the top. Salve was a common greeting in Latin during the time of the Roman Empire, but it is also used in modern Italian. In the middle of the barrell is &#34;Non per palla&#34; &#40;not for ball&#41;.
