1924, London, England. 4% Second Preference stock certificate. Black on pink paper. Litho. Issued to Victor Alexander George Robert Bulwer-Lytton (1876-1947). 2nd Earl of Lytton. British Politician best known for chairing the Lytton Commission which was tasked by the League of Nations to study the root causes of the 1931 war between China and Japan. The commission’s Lytton Report issued in 1933, was the catalyst for Japan’s withdrawal from the League of Nations. Stamp and punch cancelled. Very Fine.
