Leader, lecturer, and activist in the American Suffragist movement (1822–1907). AQS on an off-white 4.25 x 3.5 card, signed at the bottom in black ink, “Isabella Beecher Hooker, April 1885.” Hooker pens a quote from George MacDonald. In full: “And the sorrows of all humanity, Through my heart make a thoroughfare.” Also includes an ink signature, “Isabella Beecher Hooker, 81 yrs. Feb’y 22, 1903,” on an off-white 3.25 x .75 card affixed to a 3.25 x 4 photo of Hooker. In overall fine condition.
