Late 19th/early 20th c., on board, signed lower right. Artist Irving R. Wiles (1861-1948) American artist Wiles won a number of prestigious awards. Early 20th c. he became the artist of choice for a socially prominent clientelle, as well as important businessmen and political figures. wiles was one of the most successful portrait painters in the United States. Toward the end of his career, Wiles was noted for his plein-air land and seascapes he painted at his home in Peconic, Long Island. Image approx. 17.5" x 13.5", 21.5" x 17.5" with frame.

An 18% buyers premium is added to purchase price of every item sold at the gallery. Purchaser must pay 7% NJ sales tax on total purchase price, including premium unless appropriate exemption form is filed. Internet buyers pay 21% buyer's premium.
Lots may have reserves or minimum selling prices. This confidential figure is set by consignor & TIME & AGAIN, INC. TIME & AGAIN, INC. will exercise all reserve bids. The record of sale kept by the auction house is final in any dispute. Videotapes used for confirmation.
The purchaser assumes complete responsibility for items at announcement of the word "sold".
The purchaser agrees purchases will be removed within 4 days of sale. The auction house items may be resold if terms for removal are not met. A minimum storage fee of $25 per month, not to exceed $100 per month will be charged to buyers & consignors for items left at our gallery.

If a check fails to clear after second deposit, the purchaser will be held responsible for any and all fees incurred until we have collected good funds, including storage charges. Bad checks or non-payment of purchases will be prosecuted by TIME & AGAIN, INC. to the fullest extent permissible by law and the names of offenders will be announced to the public and to other auction firms.
