Color matte-finish 9.5 x 6.25 photo of Berlin singing 'God Bless America' with President Nixon and others at a Vietnam POW dinner at the White House, affixed to the original 13.75 x 11 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in black ballpoint, "For Paul Keyes, with my thanks for helping me through that wonderful evening at the White House on May 24, 1973—Irving Berlin.” Reverse of mount bears an "Official Photograph, The White House, Washington" stamp. In fine condition, with light overall toning and small creases to the two left corners. TV producer Paul Keyes was a loyal Republican and longtime friend of Nixon's who occasional wrote jokes for his speeches. Additionally, Keyes was the head writer of the popular sketch comedy show Laugh-In, which Nixon famously appeared on during his 1968 presidential campaign.
