Irving Novick redrew this dramatic "cover hook" for the final published cover and it begs the question -- why? Perhaps Novick didn't leave quite enough cover space at the top of the page for the <B>Detective Comics </B></I>logo! Whatever the reason, this Silver Age spectacular will look nothing less than <I>Definitely Cool </B></I>in any Silver Age/Batman collector's Batcave!
