Irma Stern "LadyPortrait" Oil on Canvas (1894-1966). Item is an oil on canvas painting, with wood frame, artwork measuring 32" x 25 1/2" and frame measuring 38" x 32". Signed on lower right hand corner. Irma Stern, famous South African female artist was born in 1894 and passed away in 1966. From a European collection, collected in France/Italy in the 1940s by consignor's father. Images of some of the estate's collection in the 1960s/70s accompany the item's photos. For large dollar amount payments over $1500.00, we may need to require a bank or wire transfer. This will be determined on an individual basis and your invoice will reflect these details.
The values given are estimates only. Items may sell for more or less. None of the items are new and all have some acceptable amount of wear. Please look at all pictures and read descriptions, items have some amount of acceptable wear, scratches, nicks, missing stitches, etc. Pictures in frames have not been examined outside the frame.
No bids can be withdrawn after the auction for any reason. Pre-sale bids submitted directly to Auction Company, not including bids on third-party platforms, will only be retracted provided the Buyer requests bid cancellation in writing no less than 1 hour before auction start time by emailing admin@helmauction.com. For expedited receipt of your auction goods, secured/cashier's checks will be accepted or direct transfer between banks. Payments sent by personal cheque will not ship until funds clear.
